How to evaluate any presence app
Questions to ask before installing.
- Does it ask for an APK outside the official store or excessive permissions?
- Does it promise to show a status the person hid? That is impossible
- Does it need to be installed on the watched person’s phone? Bad sign
- Does it read messages? Then it is not just presence and may be illegal

FAQ
Is WeLastSeen real or fake?
We have not audited WeLastSeen, WaLastseen or Chat Track, so we cannot vouch for them or call them a scam. What you can check yourself: install only from an official store, read the permissions it asks for, and be wary of any app that promises to show a status the person hid in their privacy settings, because no tool can do that. These apps measure visible presence only, and so does WA Tracker.
Are these apps bad?
We do not claim to judge them one by one. What is true is that none can show a status the person hid in their privacy settings, so be wary of that promise.
How is WA Tracker different?
It is a web service: no APK, nothing on the other person’s phone, and alerts on Telegram. It only measures visible presence.
Does it work the same on Android and iPhone?
Yes, because it runs on our server.
Does it read my messages or theirs?
No. It only detects going online and offline.
Responsible use: you track online/offline presence with YOUR WhatsApp session. No message reading, no account hacking. Follow the law. More in Legal.
