🚫 Honest guide
How to know if someone blocked you on WhatsApp
WhatsApp never tells you about a block. There are only indirect signs, and almost all of them also happen when someone simply tightened their privacy settings. Here is what carries weight and what proves nothing.
No sketchy apps · No messaging them · Signs and limits
The signs, from strongest to weakest
No single sign is proof.
- Your messages stay on one grey tick for days and never get a second tick
- You no longer see their profile photo, last seen, or online status (which also happens with strict privacy settings)
- Your WhatsApp calls never ring on their end
- You can't add them to a group (not fully reliable: it depends on their group settings)

FAQ
Does WhatsApp notify you when someone blocks you?
No. WhatsApp sends no block notification to anyone. You can only infer it from indirect signs.
Does one grey tick prove I was blocked?
Not on its own. One grey tick means the message was sent but not delivered; their phone could be off or offline. If days pass with no second tick and other signs line up, a block becomes more likely.
Can WA Tracker tell me if I was blocked?
No. WA Tracker measures presence (when someone goes online or offline) through your own WhatsApp Web session, and it cannot tell a block from strict privacy settings. It can give context: if their sessions used to show in your history and vanish entirely, that is one more sign, never proof.
Is there an app that confirms a block?
Not reliably. Apps that promise it are usually scams or want your data. The only real confirmation is the other person telling you.
Responsible use: you track online/offline presence with YOUR WhatsApp session. No message reading, no account hacking. Follow the law. More in Legal.
